The good news is that when you book your delivery with Parcel2Go, we make this process super easy! We’ll collect all the information you need to complete your customs forms during the booking process. When your booking is complete, we’ll send you the documentation to help your parcel sail through customs. Easy!
Our International Shipping Hub has loads of information to help make your international deliveries easy and stress-free, including how to complete a commercial invoice, and how to find your commodity code.

All goods sent to the EU from the UK are subject to EU VAT, unless you’re sending a gift under the value of €45 (including postage).
However, all deliveries sent from a marketplace like Amazon, eBay, or Etsy will be liable for delivery duties regardless of whether the item is a gift or not.
To find out whether EU VAT will be payable on the items you’re sending, you can check out our handy guide in our International Shipping Hub. Our guide gives expert advice for both individuals and businesses and tips on how to calculate the value of your parcel.
There are a couple of ways you can pay these fees:
Delivery Duty Paid (DDP). You pay all charges when you book your parcel delivery.
Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU). Your recipient will need to pay the fees before customs will release their parcel.
Our detailed guide on how to pay delivery duties will help you understand which option is best for you. DDP is a cheaper and faster option than DDU and avoids delays in customs and inconvenience for your recipient.
Depending on what service you choose, shipping to Ireland from the UK can take between 2 and 13 days.
Our express delivery services are perfect if you need your parcel to arrive in a hurry. For example, DPD Ireland can get your package to its destination in as little as 2-5 working days.
While Ireland’s prohibited items are similar to the UK’s, we always recommend that you check our list of prohibited items before you book your shipping to avoid any unnecessary delays.
Some items you can’t ship to Ireland include:
Large vehicle parts
Perishable goods or food
Liquids or creams
Batteries or items containing batteries

There are a few things to be aware of when you’re shipping orders from online marketplaces to Ireland.
Yes, both Vinted and eBay ship to Ireland.
Vinted launched in Ireland last year and allows sellers to choose from a range of shipping methods offered by the app.
If you want to select your own courier, you can select ‘custom shipping’ for some items sold on Vinted—usually those that are too big or heavy for Vinted’s own postage options. In these instances, you can get a quote with Parcel2Go to compare the services available.
With eBay, you can sell items worldwide, including to Ireland. If you’re a private seller, you’ll need to use eBay’s couriers unless your parcel meets certain criteria. Business sellers can still select their own shipping methods.
When you’re selling on Etsy or Shopify and shipping to Ireland, you’ll need to:
Provide accurate customs information for your commercial invoices, including item descriptions, values, and country of origin.
Attach customs documents to the outside of your parcel in clear plastic wallets.
Be aware of your responsibilities under GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation). Find out how GPSR affects you on our blog.
Advise your customers of their right to cancel their order within 14 days of receipt and provide them with a returns form.
Understand DDU and DDP options and your VAT responsibilities.
