Following several strike days this year, postal workers have planned further Royal Mail strikes through November and December.

Royal Mail are in discussion about bringing the strikes to an end, but for now the courier still have partial strikes planned where some factions of the business will strike on alternating days throughout November and December. Find the full list of postal strike dates below.

The Royal Mail strike is a result of over 115,000 postal workers asking for a pay rise in line with inflation. The Communication Workers Union (CWU) have asked for pay that “covers the cost of the current cost of living.”

Royal Mail are on strike on:

  • Friday 25 November
  • Wednesday 30 November
  • Thursday 1 December
  • Friday 9 December
  • Sunday 11 December

  • Friday 23 December
  • Saturday 24 December

What services are affected by the Royal Mail strike?

All Royal Mail and Parcelforce services will be affected by the strikes. That means that if you send with one of these services, collections may be delayed until after strike days and your parcel could take longer to arrive. Parcelforce won't be collecting parcels on strike days or the day before strike days.
