Preparing Your Parcel For Delivery To Italy

We’ll always take good care of your parcels, but there are a few things you can do to keep it safe during its journey.

Packaging Tips

Your parcel will travel a long way, so it’s important you package it correctly.

Our top tips for packaging your parcels well are:

  • Choose a sturdy box. New boxes are best, and choose triple-corrugated ones if you can.

  • Your box should be a little larger than the items you’re sending. Your items shouldn’t touch the sides of the box once they’re packed.

  • If you’re sending multiple items, wrap each one individually with plenty of bubble wrap.

  • Use packing foam or scrunched-up bubble wrap to pack the space around your items, ensuring they can’t move around.

  • Seal your box on the top and bottom with plenty of strong packing tape.

Labelling and Addressing

The way Italian addresses are written is a little different to those in the UK.

Our top tip is to remember to include the postcode and province code on the same line as the city you’re shipping your parcel to.

You can find a list of Italian provinces and their codes on this handy guide to Italian address formats.
