OnBuy Order Tracking Steps
OnBuy tracking usually goes through several stages from the moment an order is placed to when it's delivered. Here are the common steps:
Order Confirmation: When a purchase is made on OnBuy, the customer receives an order confirmation. This confirmation indicates that the seller has received the order.
Preparation for Dispatch: The seller prepares the item for shipping. This includes packaging the item securely and attaching the necessary shipping labels, which include the tracking number.
Item Dispatched: The seller hands the parcel over to the shipping carrier. The tracking system is updated to reflect that the item has been dispatched.
In Transit: This stage includes all the steps the parcel takes while it's being transported to the customer. This can include leaving the original shipping facility, arriving at and departing from sorting facilities, being loaded onto delivery vehicles, etc. The tracking system updates at each step, providing real-time tracking information.
Out for Delivery: This update shows when the parcel is on the delivery vehicle and expected to be delivered that day.
Delivered: The final stage is when the parcel is delivered to the customer's specified address. The tracking status will then be updated to 'delivered'.
Failed/Attempted Delivery: If the carrier attempted to deliver the parcel but was unable to do so, the tracking status may show "attempted delivery" or "delivery failed." The parcel might be held at a local post office or delivery center, or a re-delivery may be attempted.
With the integration of Parcel2Go's Smart Send platform, both sellers and buyers can easily keep track of their OnBuy orders in real-time, leading to a smoother and more transparent transaction process.
