Saint-Étienne (not to be confused with the British indie dance band of the 1990s, Saint Etienne) is the capital of the Loire département, situated in the Massif Central about 60 km south-west of Lyon. Ironically, for a city named after Saint Stephen, this one made its name as a major centre for arms manufacturing in the 16th century. In fact, during the French revolution, it was briefly renamed 'Armeville' - arms town. Never a settlement to rest on its laurels, Saint-Étienne later became an important location for coal mining and, more recently, a hub of the cycle industry, being at one time the capital of that trade in France. The city is home to the Musée d'Art Moderne, which houses one of the most significant collections of contemporary and modern art in the country.
Here at Parcel2Go we're ideally placed to make sending parcels to Saint-Étienne as easy as pie. That's thanks to the experience we've gained as we became the UK's largest online delivery service - experience which tell us in no uncertain terms that by far the best option to despatch and deliver your parcel to Saint-Étienne is the French postal service, La Poste. They're speedy and reliable - and in our view, that's all you're looking for. However, the customer is always right, so if a courier to Saint-Étienne is your dearest wish, we'd be delighted to make that happen too.
We have the postcode but the French, wouldn't you know it, do things their own way with a postal code. Alright, the names is more or less the same, but the appearance is very different, a mere five digits, which you should write extremely carefully on the last line of your address. Mysterious it may appear, but it's really very simple: the first two digits locate your département and the last three the all-important arrondissement. In Paris, Lyons and Marseilles, that is subtly different.
Your parcel delivery to Saint-Étienne will go swimmingly as long as you wrap well, but not too well - customs don't want to find it a struggle to look inside if they choose. And you wouldn't want to send a parcel to Saint-Étienne with something the postal service has banned, so if in doubt, double-check.
