The egg was found by Kim Broughton, 44 from Latchingdon, Essex when she went to collect the eggs from her hens. Ms Broughton didn’t realise the egg was unique until she washed it off inside, she said: “It’s absolutely amazing – I have never seen anything quite like it. It really is perfectly round.”
Ms Broughton, her daughter and some friends will be taking part in a 40 mile walk to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis and any money the egg raises will be put towards their donations
So far the egg has received 56 bids and raised £310, there are still three days left of the auction. Postage and Packaging is free.
