The hours have been extended for a further three hours, the extended hours are from 6pm to 9pm; Monday to Friday; so Live Help hours are now from 9am to 9pm. Also remember this is a FREE service so no call charges!

On October 22, 2007, FedEx Express announced plans to introduce 10 hybrid-electric/diesel vehicles to its European fleet.

The van and the hardware that enables the vehicle to operate on both electric and diesel systems will be unveiled at the European Road Transport Show in Amsterdam, October 24 through November 3, 2007.

The vans, manufactured by Iveco, will initially be trialed in Turin, Italy. FedEx already has nearly 100 hybrid-electric/diesel vehicles on the road worldwide. These will be the first that FedEx operates in Europe.

Iveco is recognized as a leader in the automotive field and a company with a strong history in supporting innovative new technologies. Over the last two years, Iveco and FedEx have joined efforts to develop a new diesel-electric hybrid vehicle. The Daily Hybrid provides the autonomy and fuel efficiency of a diesel vehicle with zero-emission levels of the electric engine.

This action will take place at different Royal Mail sites across the country at different times. We are currently assessing the impact that this will have on services, and will communicate this as soon as possible.
