Tesco has their own returns policy that can be found on the Returns Policy page
of their website. Please be aware that Tesco may have revised their returns policies therefore always visit the retailer’s website first before attempting to return your items. Currently, the main things to note are as follows:
Electrical purchases
If products are purchased from the internet, then they cannot be returned in the
grocery store (or grocery supermarket) unless they are groceries. Tesco electrical
products and furniture are eligible for full refund within 45 days of purchasing
the products. With the personal cover that you get on Electrical items, if the electrical
item is returned then you can get a refund on the cover as well but the cover will
be calculated pro rata, in other words you will get credited back for the cost of
the cover that you have left before it expires.
Tesco has a helpline for all electrical, mobile and furniture products that are
under a one year warranty. If the reason for returning a Mobile phone is because
it has become faulty, then call the mobile phone helpline who will advise you on
how to return the phone to be repaired. Unless the mobile phone is still within
the warranty period at the time the mobile got damaged, you may be liable to pay
for the repair costs.
To return a product, follow the instructions provided on the website’s help page.
Different products have different return policies so please be aware of these before
purchasing the products. Some items may be clearly marked to say they are not returnable.
Returning a Product
If a product is marked with a ? then it can be returned in store by taking it to
the local Tesco Extra or Tesco supermarket. However, if the item is not marked with
a ?, it can’t be returned in store customer services would need to be contacted
to arrange collection.
