Play.com has their own returns policy that can be found on the Terms and Conditions page of their website. Please be aware that Play may have revised their returns policies therefore always visit the retailer’s website first before attempting to return your items. Currently, the main things to note are as follows:
PlayTraders Returns
After placing an order, all customers have a 30-minute cool-off period with the
PlayTraders. This period gives you a chance to think about the order and gives you
the opportunity to cancel it before the details have been sent to the seller for
dispatch. After this period, the seller will need to be contacted directly.
Play.com Returns
For all returns, please follow the Returns Authorization procedure for play.com.
This will allow you to receive a returns authorization code that needs to be sent
along with the item you wish to return. Any unwanted items should be returned, unopened,
within 7 days of receiving them. A multi-buy item can be returned if damaged or
faulty for a replacement but a refund cannot be authorized for it due to the nature
of the promotion.
Sellers returns Policy
Each seller has their own returns policy so if you have a problem with your purchase
please contact the seller directly within 14-days in order to qualify for a refund
or replacement. If the product isn't returned within the 14-day period then the
seller doesn't have ownership of this and you will not receive a refund or replacement.
If the product you received isn't what you were promised (i.e. its incorrect or
has a defect) then contact the seller within 72 hours. Any enquiries should be directly
to your seller. If the seller decides to give you a refund, the funds will be credited
to your card. The refund will be the cost of the product as well as a postage allowance
(usually £2)
Testing of Electronics
All electronics and gadgets including DVDs, CDs and video games will be tested upon
return by play.com independent test centers. If the items are not found to be faulty
then they will be returned back to the customer who will be liable to pay for the
postage.
