John Lewis has their own returns policy that can be found on the Returns Policy
page of their website. Please be aware that John Lewis may have revised their returns policies therefore always visit the retailer’s website first before attempting to return your items. Currently, the main things to note are as follows.
John Lewis is happy to refund or exchange a purchase for you if you are not happy
with it. The returns request needs to be made within 28 days of delivery of the
purchase, in its original package, preferably, undamaged. If the items doesn’t appear
to be in it’s original packaging or appears to be used then John Lewis reserve the
right to refuse the refund or exchange or deduct 20% off the purchase price and
then give the refund.
Some items can’t be refunded. These include perishable items (food, plants, flowers),
special order or made to measure items. Things like mattresses, mattress toppers,
duvets, pillows and personal cosmetics or grooming products and the like cannot
be returned or refunded due to hygiene and personal safety.
If large items such as furniture and electrical appliances are returned because
they weren’t the correct size, then John Lewis reserve the right to charge £50 collection
fee as this was the consumers fault for not measuring up their property and suitability
of the product.
